Save the assembly guide and material information for each item. Record removable covers, replacement parts and the cleaning method recommended by the maker.

Inspect the furniture regularly for loosened fittings, worn surfaces and unstable parts. Remove unsafe items from use until they are properly repaired or replaced.

Keep a brief maintenance note with the guide. It is easier to order the correct part when the product reference and original instructions are available.
