Map the places your cat uses
Sketch the room and mark resting places, routes and spots your cat returns to. Observe over several days without forcing a change in behavior.
Note where people walk, doors open and furniture needs to remain accessible. Keep escape routes clear and avoid arrangements that trap an animal in a corner.
Use those observations when comparing furniture. Follow the product instructions for assembly, anchoring and load limits, and check stability before allowing access.
